Delete a highlight

Delete a highlight

Remove a highlight from a web page or PDF using the toolbar or sidebar.

From the page

  1. Click the highlight you want to remove (or select the highlighted text).
  2. Click Delete in the floating toolbar.

The highlight is removed from the page and from your saved data for that URL.

Works the same on web pages and in the PDF viewer.

From the sidebar

  1. Open the ZetaMarker sidebar.
  2. Find the highlight card and use its delete control.

Delete all highlights on a page

In the dashboard page detail view, deleting every highlight removes the page entirely.

Trash and cloud sync

  • Local-only use: deletion is immediate on that device.
  • With cloud sync: deleted highlights sync to the dashboard. Deleting a page moves it to Trash with a 5-second Undo — see Delete and restore.

If a highlight reappears after deletion, the page may have been refreshed from an older cloud copy — try Refresh on any sync toast or reload the page after sync completes.

Sort and navigate highlights

Sort highlights by time or position in the extension sidebar, click to scroll to a passage, and copy all highlights at once.
