Upload PDFs to the cloud
Upload PDF files to your ZetaMarker library with drag-and-drop, size limits of 50 MB per file and 300 MB total storage, and optional auto-open after upload.
Upload PDFs to the ZetaMarker dashboard to highlight, sync, and access them from any device.
Open the upload dialog
- Sign in at app.zetamarker.com.
- Click Upload PDF in the header or on the pages library.
You can also arrive via deep link after login:
/app?upload=pdf/app?zm_source=local-pdf-prompt(from extension local PDF prompt)
Upload a file
- Drag and drop a
.pdfonto the dialog, or click to browse. - Optionally check Open automatically after upload.
- Wait for upload to complete.
On success: PDF uploaded — you are taken to /pdf/{pageId} if auto-open is enabled.
Size and storage limits

The dialog shows 120 MB of 300 MB used. A warning appears near 80% full; upload is blocked when storage is full.
Errors
| Message | Cause |

| PDF only | Non-PDF file selected |
| File too large | File exceeds 50 MB |
| Storage limit reached | 300 MB total used — delete PDFs or empty Trash |
Duplicate detection
If the same PDF is already in your library: This PDF is already in your library. — choose Open to view the existing copy instead of uploading again.
Manage storage
- Delete unwanted PDF pages (moves to Trash)
- Empty Trash or Delete Forever to free space permanently
- Check usage in Account Settings — cloud PDF storage meter
Account Settings hint: Up to 50 MB per file. Delete PDFs or empty Trash to free space.
After upload
Open the PDF in the dashboard viewer to highlight and manage passages. Highlights sync to the extension when you open the same PDF online.
