View PDFs in the dashboard
Open uploaded PDFs in the ZetaMarker dashboard viewer, highlight passages, and sync with the Chrome extension.
The dashboard PDF viewer lets you read and highlight uploaded PDFs in the browser — the same highlights appear in the extension when you open the same file online.
Open a PDF
- Sign in at app.zetamarker.com.
- From Your pages library, click a PDF page row.
- Or upload a new PDF via Upload PDFs to the cloud — with Open automatically after upload you land on
/pdf/{pageId}automatically.
Viewer layout
- Left: page thumbnails and navigation
- Center: PDF canvas with highlight tools
- Right: highlights list (same structure as Page detail view for web pages)
Toolbar actions include zoom, page navigation, and highlight color.
Highlight in the viewer
- Select text on the PDF page.
- Pick a highlight color from the popup.
- Highlights appear in the right panel and sync to your account.
If the PDF is still processing, wait for the viewer to finish loading — refresh if needed.
Share and export from the viewer
From the page header or highlights panel:
- Share — share link or social (see Share on social media)
- Copy text — copy selected highlight text
- Export options match Export your highlights
Extension sync
When you open the same PDF URL in Chrome with the extension:
- Highlights created in the dashboard appear in the extension sidebar
- Highlights created in the extension sync back to the dashboard
